Ahmed Musa’s plan to join Kano Pillars came as surprise to many of us and we can only ask what the main motive is behind this move.

National captain Ahmed Musa signed a deal until the end of the season to play for his former club, Kano Pillars.

He joins as the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) elite player to boost their image as well as help himself maintain his fitness as he continues his search for a European club.

The initial idea was proposed by the governor of Kano, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, and Shehu Dikko, Chairman of the League Management Company (LMC).

Although his agreement includes a clause that allows him to leave when and if he can find a club in Europe.

Musa aims to get in shape to play for the Super Eagles in the World Cup qualifiers that start in June.

This move will surely bring more attention and attraction to the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) but does this move pays Musa?
