Following the rules given by the federal government that family members will be denied access to people who die of cornavirus, Nigerians have questioned why Buhari’s chief whipe, Abba Kyari’s body was released for burial.
Abba Kyari whose body was released for burial in the early hours of today has been laid to rest at Gudu cemetery in Abuja. This development has trailed so many reactions from Nigeria on why his body was released and why his burial is different.
Recall that few days ago, when asked what happens to the body of infected people, Lagos State Ministry of health official, DR Olusegun Ogboye said that the bodies are usually decontaminated and sealed before they are buried. After this process, no one is allowed to come in contact with the bodies.
A popular twitter user identified as @Aproko_Doctor has reacted to this act. According to him, rules are not for everyone in this country.
This is coming after the Minister of information and culture, Lai Mohammed also said that corpses of persons who tested positive for coronavirus (COVID-19) cannot be claimed for burial. He said such corpses would be handled by the ministry of health because they are contagious.
