E NEWS: Wizkid, Kanye West, Tiwa Savage, Others Missed 2017 Grammy Awards.

The 2017 Grammys awards had in attendance people that mattered in the world music and the few entertainers who would have represented Nigeria were obviously absent at the ceremony.

Having earned the world’rsquo;s biggest music recognition awards, The Grammys held its 59th edition on Sunday 12th February at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.

While Jidenna made Nigeria proud with his green native attire appearance at the 2017 Grammys Awards, Tiwa Savage, Wizkid and Yemi Alade, who were expected to be present at the ceremony, were missing in action.

Just last week, Tiwa Savage was seen famzing with the Roc Nation family and some world celebrity like Emeli Sande, Puff Daddy, Jay Z, DJ Khaled and more at the DJ’s album name announcement party.

But Tiwa Savage failed to attend the most important entertainment event of the year. Also, Yemi Alade got an invitation to attend the Grammys awards, which she shared on her social media page. However, she didn’t honor the invitation and was rather seen in Sweden at Abba Museum.

Nigerians were excited when Wizkid got a Grammy nomination for his contribution on Drake’s album, but just like Tiwa and Yemi, Wizkid did not attend the ceremony.

On the international scene, Kanye West dissed the Grammys this year, just like he promised.

In an interview with Kris Jenner, mother-in-law to Kanye West, she tried to justify his absence, stating that Kanye was busy and had a lot on his hands thus, his absence from the Awards.

But we all know why he didn’t attend. Recall that the American rapper threatened to ignore the 2017 Grammys Awards ceremony if Frank Ocean, who Kanye thinks deserves an award doesn’t get a nomination.

Similarly, Justin Bieber, who was nominated for four Grammys, Drake who got eight nominations and also Taylor Swift absented themselves from the 2017 Grammys Awards.

Meanwhile, Queen Bey thrilled the audience with a mind-blowing Grammy performance. The expecting mother, who’s twin baby bump pictures broke the internet a few weeks back, brought her A game to the show despite her condition.
