Diego Costa is deadly this season. Someone who’s looking at winning the Player of the Season and the Premier League title, things are going well for him and Chelsea football club, and there could well be a simple reason why.
Costa has been assisted by more players than any other forward in the top flight this season, and that of course is a huge factor in his goals.
Costa is a brilliant finisher, but you’ve got to get the balls to be able to do that, and today, despite a poor display from Eden Hazard, it didn’t matter – because Victor Moses and Cesc Fabregas were there.
Eight clear
The Blues are now eight clear at the top of the table and are certainly showing their title credentials, and now go into a vital period of their season, playing Arsenal and Liverpool in the space of three days, meaning they could well have ended any hopes of a proper title race come mid February – or see their lead cut down dramatically, and the rest of the chasing pack back in with a shot.
One thing they do have is a class squad, and plenty of strength and depth with it, meaning the Blues could well see the title back at Stamford Bridge.
