Eden Hazard back to his best. After a season which was pretty much a write-off, Eden Hazard is now looking back to his best.
Having won the PFA Player of the Year award in 2014/15 to cap a fine season with title-winners Chelsea, Hazard suffered a major dip in form for the Blues last season.
He wasn’t the only one: the entire team lost its way, as the relinquished their title defence in the meekest fashion, before Jose Mourinho was finally sacked midway through the season.
But with Antonio Conte now at the helm, Hazard looks rejuvenated and reinvigorated, and appears to be coming back to his best – or even getting better.
Catching up on Ballon D’Or duo
Along with Luis Suarez and Gareth Bale, Hazard is widely regarded as one of the players just below the standards set by Leo Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, and the Belgian has often spoken of his desire to be bracketed with the pair.
Well, if he keeps up his current form then that’s sure to transpire: as the graphic below shows, his stats this season compare very favourably with both Ronaldo and Messi’s.
