The Red Devils were unable to build on their EFL Cup win over Manchester City as their dismal form in the league was extended on Saturday

Manchester United’s poor run of form continued on Saturday as they were held to a 0-0 draw by Burnley, with Jose Mourinho being banished to the stands.

Despite a midweek win over Manchester City in the EFL Cup, they had been struggling in the league, having taken just five points from their previous six fixtures.

While they were up against an inconsistent Burnley side, the Red Devils were unable to arrest their poor run and played the second half without their boss, who was sent to the stands.
